Tons of research out the window!

I spent hours researching the next level of protection for our 3 yr old. She was in a Britax Marathon and was too tall for it. After all of my research I had settled on either the Britax convertible seat or a Triumph. I went to our local Target to find neither in stock! We had her sit in every booster seat that had a 5 point harness and hands down, the EB Deluxe High Back Booster was the most comfortable and had the most growing room. It was one of two seats that had 3 recline positions. Nice fabric, also. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the adjustable crotch buckle barely fits my just turned 3 year old on the second notch and she is so thin. Don't know about chubby toddlers, though. May want to go to Target and try it on for size before purchasing it. To sum it up; we purchased a safe, comfortable, nice looking seat for the price - less than half of what we had planned to spend on the Britax!

I have a seat similar to this - same brand, basically just a different color. I LOVE IT. I love the recline feature - and I REALLY love the "no hassle" adjustment of the shoulder harness. I read one review where the woman said there was only 1 position? Turn the seat around - look on the BACK - it is simple as pie to adjust the seat. I wish all car seats had that feature, I really do. :)
I was given the car seat by an individual that had purchased it brand new & it would not fit in her car. I do not know what type of car she had, but I have a dodge caravan and it works great.
As for those who can't get the seat tight - are you putting your knee into the seat and putting your weight on it (causing it to push down). As many others have said, that is how you are SUPPOSED to secure them - even WITH latch / tether.

I don't know what the deal is with some of the bad reviews. One you have to kneel in a car seats to get it in properly and tight enough. Two, this seat is extremely comfy, my daughter has had it for a little over a year now and loves it! It reclines great and she can go to sleep when traveling with no problem. This seat is extremely easy to install and we are able to use it in our Ford Explorer, my moms grand am, and my brothers Malibu. I highly highly recommend this one!! It's been rated a CR best buy and I feel confident that my daughter is safe riding in it. In fact, I will be purchasing another for my younger daughter when she is big enough!

We purchased this seat from Target store and have it installed in our Honda Civic (and have had it in our Honda CRV and other vehicles too). It installs VERY easily into our Hondas using the latch system and other vehicles with the seat belt. One review talked about having to get in the car and lean on the seat to install it??? That is how you are SUPPOSED to CORRECTLY install any seat in ANY car -- put kneel in the seat and tighten it.
I think most people need to learn the proper way to install this car seat. It is ranked as one of the best seats by several sources and it has been working VERY well for our 3 and 4 year old. It fits TIGHT and is very comfortable for her. It is hard for her to fasten it herself sometimes -- but that is fine -- an adult should be fastening it and unfastening it anyway.
GOOD product - buy it and try it.

I have been very disappointed in this seat. My husband and I have had a very difficult time securely fastening the chair to the car, the fabric and padding are wearing out after a short period of time, is difficult to take apart to clean, and my son complains that it "hurts." Overall, I wish I had returned the seat right away so we weren't out our money.

I'm not sure about all the other reviews on here saying this seat is so bad. We have been using this seat for our 18 month old since he grew out of his infant seat. The reclining feature is great for napping on long trips. My son sleeps in this seat all the time so I would assume that it is comfortable for him. The straps are very easy to adjust and are growing with him very nicely. We do not use the latch system as we are moving this seat back and forth from different vehicles quite often, but I have not had any trouble securing it tightly in any vehicle with the seat belt. To secure any seat properly you must kneel in it and then tighten the belt or it will not fit secure. The fact that it is a CR best buy is just frosting on the cake. Safety, comfort, and convenience, all in one package make this a winner in my book. Fabric in the seat is starting to fray a bit, but I haven’t had any trouble getting stains out of it with some cleaner and a little elbow grease.

I just bought this seat for my very tall 18 month old daughter and we both love it! She has a lot more room to wiggle and move than her other car seat. I had no problems installing or tightening the straps. It reclines beautifully. If you know how to properly install a car seat then you should have no problems getting it in. The only complaint I have is the cup holder is in a weird place but that is not a big deal for me.

I would not recommend this car seat to anyone. It is difficult to buckle our 15 month old into it and it is not easy to clean. The instructions given to remove the pad are not correct. Actually, we can't figure out how to take it off at all. Even if we could it can't be machine washed. Our Graco infant seat was very easy to use and was machine washable. So I don't understand why this one is so hard....

We have this car seat for our child. He has always enjoyed sitting in it. We put our infant in it for a "test drive" and she loves it too. The straps adjust easily to accommodate winter coats (and when they take them off). We have always found it easy to install and uninstall. We have had no problems installing the car seat in our old Honda Civic, our new Honda Civic hybrid, our Toyota Sienna mini-van, a Toyota Prius, and a Kia Sorento. We will be buying a new one for our infant!
